Boko Haram kills 24 in
Adamawa wake attack

Boko Haram insurgents on Thursday night attacked Kuda-Kaya village in Madagali local Government Area of Adamawa state, killing 24 persons during a wake.
One of the residents, Abdul Ibrahim, who spoke on Friday morning, said the insurgents, numbering over 100, came at about 10 pm on Thursday shooting indiscriminately and in the propose killed 24 persons.
He said during the attack, 10 persons also sustained various degrees of injuries.
He said 18 corpses were discovered on Thursday night after the insurgents had left the village, while the remaining six corpses were removed from the surrounding buses after the break of dawn.
He lamented that the majority of persons killed were women and children. He added that those injured in the attack were rushed to Gulak Cottage Hospital, three kilometres from the village, for treatment.
Another resident of the village, Jacob Gulak, who also spoke to our correspondent via the phone, said he counted 18 corpses, adding that 10 other persons were injured.
He, however, said that more corpses might be retrieved from the bushes as the search was still on and many persons were still missing.
